Wise Women Speak With Barbara Callaghan
Wise Women Speak

Episode 24: Following Your “Knowing”

Linda and Lana speak with Reverend Barbara Lea Callaghan, minister at Hancock United Church of Christ, about how a very early knowing inspired her to overcome the many obstacles of self doubt and disconnection she encountered along the way to realizing her calling as a minister. That knowing gave her the clarity of purpose to create and foster the community of depth and love that she leads today.

Barbara shares with us the importance of listening to your inner wisdom, learning to move beyond fear, living into courage and being fully awake to life.

Rev. Barbara Lea Callaghan is a minister at Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington, Massachusetts, as well as a licensed psychotherapist. Barbara is passionate about building communities of depth and love that are engaged in liberative social transformation.

Before coming to the ministry she spent ten years as a licensed therapist directing a counseling center that she established. Upon discovering the UCC, she attended Union Theological Seminary, graduating in 2013.

Barbara is a runner, cyclist, hiker, writer and general lover of life. When Barbara is not working she can be found outside exploring near and far with her wife Kate, their daughter Eliza, and dog Cuzco.
